Weslo Pro CrossWalk 7.8 Review

Product description:

The Weslo CrossWalk 7.8 treadmill is a huge improvement over the other treadmills in the Weslo line.  The CrossWalk 7.8 comes with a power incline where the other treadmills only offered a manual one.  Also featured with this treadmill is a workout fan and the Crosswalk arms to give both an arm and leg workout..  The warranty is also an improvement with a 5-year warranty on the motor.  The electronics and parts warranty remains at the same 90-day service levels

Product review:

The Weslo Pro CrossWalk 7.8 treadmill may have a lot more to offer than the other treadmill models in the Weslo line but that added features do come with an added price.  The CrossWalk 7.8 is around $200 more expensive than its siblings and in all reality at that price range you should invest a little more money to pickup one of the ProForm treadmills.  The entry level ProForm treadmill comes in at around $100 more than this model and in the long run would be a better investment of your hard earned cash.

One advantage for the CrossWalk 7.8 treadmill is that this one has a power incline up to 10%.  The other Weslo models that we reviewed only offered a manual incline for three different levels.  The walking surface is the same size as the Weslo Cadence GTX and the 2.25 HP motor matches the power in the GTX, Cadence 25 and Cadence 55 models.  The real improvements over the other models is the Crosswalk arms, built-in fan and the power incline features.  Other than that you are still getting a low quality treadmill for a couple hundred dollars more.

The Weslo line of treadmills are very inexpensive and in all reality they are priced less than it would cost to build out a high quality machine.  Anyone that is a serious runner or is looking for a treadmill that will last for years to come will be disappointed in this brand.  Treadmills are an investment and sometimes you actually get what you pay for.

Warranty Information

The warranty for the motor has improved quite a bit with this model with it offering a 5-year warranty the motor.   The motor really is the treadmill so once it breaks the machine really just becomes an oversized paperweight.  The parts and labor still chime in at an unimpressive 90-day warranty.
