Weslo Cadence 55 Review

Product description:

The Weslo Cadence 55 treadmill is second in line to their least expensive model and it does offer some additional features over the Weslo Cardio Stride Plus treadmill.  The Cadence 55 improves over its little brother by offering at least a motor and larger running surface.  It's still a low quality treadmill and the increased running surface is nothing to get excited about.

Product review:

The Weslo Cadence 55 is a much better machine than the Cardio Stride Plus simply because of the increased belt size and the addition of the 2 HP motor.  However, this treadmill is really designed for walkers only.  The motor and the running surface are undersized for anyone that plans to do a lot of running.  Also, anyone over average height will find that the 45" belt length just doesn't cut it.

Don't let the low price seduce you, this is still a cheap treadmill and not one that is going to hold up over the long run.  If you absolutely can not afford to spend over $300 for a treadmill then we do recommend this model over the Cardio Stride Plus.  However, with the negative reviews that surround this machine we still believe that you would be better off saving your money for a little more expensive "budget' treadmill brands.

Our best recommendation is to bypass this treadmill and begin your search at the ProForm line.  ProForm is a sister company of Weslo and does build one of the better bargain treadmills.  Over time the Weslo Cadence 55 is going to break down and you are either going to have a broken piece of junk sitting around your home or will end up having to spend additional money to keep it running.  The better investment for your hard earned dollars is to pass on this machine.
