Product review:

About the Motor

The Spirit XT275 treadmill comes with a 2.75 HP continuous duty motor.  The motor is designed to accomodate walker and most light joggers. The motor is also backed by a lifetime warranty.

Treadmill Belt

The treadmill belt for the XT275 is at 20" x 55".  The belt size is considered average for its price bracket and a big improvement over the XT175 model.

Workout Programs and Features

The Spirit XT275 comes with a total of 10 preset workout programs.  The treadmill also includes other features such as Heart Rate Controland and dual cooling fans.  The XT275 also has the Soft-Drop easy assist feature to help safely lower the treadmill deck to the floor.

Warranty

The Spirit XT275 comes with a lifetime warranty on the frame and the motor.  The warranty also includes 10-years for parts and 1-year for labor

Conclusion

The Spirit XT275 comes with a larger motor and longer running deck making it a big improvement over the XT175 model.  The treadmill belt size has been improved to 20" x 55" which should accomadate most runners.  Those that are taller than average or have a very long stride may need to consider a longer belt.

The XT275 is a solid treadmill that is backed by a very good warranty.  It compares well with other treadmills in its price range however the Smooth 6.45 Folding Treadmill and the Sole F80 Treadmill offer more power with their motors and run around $100 less.  Both the Spirit and Sole treadmills are built by the same manufacture but the Sole treadmills tend to have the reputation as a best buy winner in several price categories.  However, those that decide on the XT275 treadmill instead of the Smooth or Sole models still will not be disappointed.  The Spirit XT275 is a well built machine that shines well in an already impressive class of treadmills.
