Spirit Treadmill Reviews

Spirit offers a great range of both folding and non folding treadmills backed by a reputable company. Spirit has been building exercise equipment in the early 1980's and has been manufacturing treadmills since 1987.   At one time all of their treadmills were manufactured in the US but a few years back they were purchased by Dyaco International.  If the name Dyaco sounds familiar to you it is probably because they are the same company that produces the high quality Sole treadmills. 

Spirits treadmills are now manufactured in Taiwan and China however, although the parent company is overseas, the corporate office for Spirit is still located in the US in Jonesboro, Arkansas.  Initially when the manufacturing moved overseas the product quality suffered however in recent years Spirit has made vast improvements in the quality making them one of the top treadmills in the mid-price range.

Spirit has been innovators since their conception.  They were the first company to offer Heart Rate Control treadmills (a trend that is very common today).  They were also the first to use PWM technology in their residential treadmills.  PWM technology is more commonly found in the higher-end treadmills and it stands for pulse width modulation.  The biggest benefit of PMW is that it provides a quiet yet more powerful motor at a lower cost. 

Spirit was also the only treadmill company to offer the Trax Flex system, an adjustable low-impact design on most of their treadmills.  Quality is an important feature with the Spirit treadmills and overall they are one of the top treadmills in the mid price range market.  Their level quality is pretty much the same as the Sole treadmills but the Spirit brand does come at a little higher cost. Most of the increased cost have to do with the way to two products are marketed.  However on a quality scale both the Spirit and Sole series are well worth considering for anyone in the market for a mid-range treadmill.
