About the Motor

The Sole F-83 treadmill comes with a powerful 3.0 HP continuous duty motor. The motor is backed with a lifetime warranty.

About the Frame

As the Sole Treadmill model numbers increase, so does the size and strength of their treadmills.  The Sole F83 is a heavy treadmill weighing in at 260 pounds.  The heavy frame helps to provide additional stability and the F83 treadmill impressively supports a maximum user weight of 375 pounds.

Warranty Information

The F83 treadmill comes with a lifetime warranty on the motor and frame and treadmill deck.  There is a 5-year warranty on the electronics, belts and rollers.  The F83 treadmill also includes a 2-year in-home service warranty.

Conclusion

The Sole F83 treadmill is a great treadmill that comes with some improvements over the already impressive Sole F80 model.  The F83 is heavier, supports a higher maximum user weight and an additional three inches is added to the running surface.  The Sole F80 was already considered the "best buy" treadmill for its price range so one would think that the F83 treadmill would continue on with the same reputation.  The problem with the Sole F83 is that it sits in-between two already great models.   The F80 has the same problem as the Bowflex Series 5 Treadmill in that it makes more sense to spend just a little bit more money to get a much machine.  If the $2000 is too much to invest for the Sole F85 then the best recommendation is to save a little money and purchase the Sole F80.

Keep in mind that the F80 is a great machine and those that decide to invest in a Sole F83 will not be disappointed.  There are just not enough enhancements to justify spending a higher price than the already great F80.
