Conclusion
The Smooth Agile DMT (Dynamic Motion Trainer) is probably a good glimpse into the future of what elliptical trainers are going to evolve into (or at least should evolve into).  Unlike traditional elliptical trainers, which have a very specific range of motion, the Agile DMT includes 12 adjustable levels of motion that change the angle of the movement during the exercise.  The key advantage of changing the angle of the exercise is that additional muscles are incorporated into the movement resulting in more muscles being trained. 

Compared to a lot of the other elliptical trainers available, the Agile DMT is a very large and heavy machine.  At around 390 pounds the elliptical trainer can support an impressive maximum user weight up to 400 pounds.  The size and weight of this exerciser not only are capable of supporting a heavier  and larger user but also produce a smoother and more stable workout.  Backed by Smooth's high level of quality this machine is also quiet and smooth, no pun intended, to use.  

The only real downfall with the Agile DMT is the price.  At a cost of around $3,000, the Agile DMT does fall under the high-end price umbrella.  However, although $3,000 is a lot of money it really is still a bargain for such a well built and versatile exercise machine.  Other high-end exercise equipment, treadmills for example, can easily exceed the $3,000 price range.  The elliptical trainer is well worth considering for those whose budget can support the cost. 

Overall the Agile DMT is a great exercise machine that is worth considering.  The price tag, although a little high, is still very reasonable for such a high quality exercise machine.  Smooth Fitness has a reputation for building quality treadmills and elliptical trainers and the Agile DMT fully lives up to that reputation.
