About the stride length
The Smooth Agile DMT X2 elliptical trainer comes with a 18" to 21" adjustable stride length which should accommodate both average height and taller users.  Also included are the 12 motion adjustments that change the angle of the exercise in resulting in you using additional muscle groups used for a complete body workout.

About the 9 Preset Programs
The Smooth Agile DMT X2 includes 9 built-in preset workout programs which include Manual, Time, Distance, Calories, Interval, Endurance, Watts, Heart Rate Control and a custom program

Additional Features
The Agile DMT X2 also includes an iPod docking station with built-in speakers for those that prefer to not workout with a headset on.  In addition the DMT X2 includes thumb control handgrips which allow you to easily adjust the intensity levels and motion of the workout.

Warranty Information
Smooth Fitness offers some of the best warranties available for their exercise equipment and the Agile DMT X2 comes with a lifetime warranty on the frame and braking system, 5 years warranty on parts and electronics and a 2 year warranty for in home labor.

Conclusion
The Smooth Agile DMT X2 is an upgrade to the DMT X1 model.  Both the X1 and X2 elliptical trainers are smaller and less expensive version of the Agile DMT elliptical trainer.  Where the DMT, DMT X1 and DMT X2 really shine is their 12 ranges of adjustable motion.  Unlike a typical elliptical trainer which only consist of one range of motion, the DMT elliptical trainers allow 12 adjustable ranges of motion to improve the overall effectiveness of the workout.  By changing the elliptical trainers motion you put emphasis on additional muscles to incorporate and more overall workout.

Like the DMT X1, the X2 will also support a maximum user weight up to 350 pounds (the Agile DMT supports up to 400 pounds).  The Agile DMT X2 only cost around $300 more than the X1 model and does include a few key additional features.  One of the features offered with the Agile DMT X2 over the X1 model is the built-in iPod dock and speakers.  However although the iPod dock alone doesn't justify the $300 price increase over the X1 model, the Smooth ergonomic foot pedals really are a great addition to enhancing the overall workout.  The foot pedals on the X2 are designed to follow your foots natural path of motion during the workout eliminating discomfort and fatigue form the exercise.

Most of the reviews that we have seen for the Agile DMT X2 elliptical are very positive.  There is one review on Amazon.com that complains about the elliptical not having a book holder but for the most part in our minds the review didn't give enough justification for a negative rating.  The reviews on Smooth Fitness site and other resources around the web are very positive for this machine.  The Agile DMT models are very unique elliptical trainers and where they really shine is the ability to incorporate additional muscles into the workout.
