About the Motor

The 7.1 HR treadmill comes with a 2.75 HP continuous duty motor. Like the other Smooth motors this one is also very quiet and comes with a lifetime warranty.
 

About the Frame

the Smooth 7.1 HR treadmill is built like a commercial treadmill.  It has a solid frame and the overall treadmill weight comes in at 280 pounds.
 

About the Folding Mechanisms

The Smooth 7.1HR treadmill's Power Fold feature allows you to easily fold the treadmill for storage by the push of a button.

Warranty Information

Smooth Fitness offers one of the best warranties out there for their treadmills.  The 7.1 HR treadmill comes with a lifetime warranty on the motor and frame and includes a 5-year warranty on all parts and electronics.  The treadmill also comes with a 2-year labor warranty.
 

Conclusion

The reviews for the Smooth 7.1 HR Pro treadmill are very good.  Most of the reviewers are pleased with the quality and durability of this machine.  The power folding feature is a plus and this model is probably best compared with the Smooth 7.6 HR Pro treadmill.  The 7.6 HR treadmill is a few hundred dollars more expensive but it does come with a larger motor, 3 HP to be exact, and a larger running deck.  If you can afford around $300 more then you would be better off spending it on the 7.6 HR treadmill (which also has the power folding feature).

If you are still in the market for a folding treadmill and can take or leave the power folding feature then Smooth 6.45 or Smooth 6.45M treadmills would be a more worth considering.  Like the 7.6 HR, they also come with a more powerful motor and larger running deck.
