About the stride length
The Schwinn 431 is a budget elliptical trainer that comes with an average stride length at 18 inches.  The stride length will not accommodate taller users but is fine for those that are average height. 

About the 19 Built-in Workouts
The Schwinn 431 includes an impressive 19 built-in workout programs.  The workout programs included are manual, 10 user profiles, a calorie goal, time trial, 3 heart rate controls, a fitness test and 2 custom programs.  In addition the Schwinn 431 also includes the Recovery Mode, Results Mode, BMI feedback programs.

About the Schwinn BioFit console design
The Schwinn BioFit console is designed to enhance your workout.  The BioFit design includes an integrated MP3/portable media compartment, an on-console towel hook, a fan and an oversized cushioned foot plates.

Warranty Information
The frame comes with a 15 year warranty and there is a 2 years warranty for the parts, 1 year for electronics and a 90 days warranty for labor.

Conclusion
The reviews for the Schwinn 431 is another excellent elliptical trainer produced under the Schwinn brand.  The Schwinn 431 is very similar to the already popular Schwinn 430 model with the addition of a lot of great features for only a couple hundred dollars more in price.  Some of the key features such as the 19 built-in workouts, the BioFit console design with the cushioned pedals and fan really set this elliptical apart from the 430 model. 

Like the Schwinn 430 the 431 comes with an 18" stride length.  The stride length is long enough to accommodate users that are around 5'8" in height and under but it does alienate some of the taller users.  Most taller users, those over 6' tall, would be better suited for a stride length that is 20" and above.  Keep in mind that an 18" stride length is very good for a budget elliptical trainer, and the 431 model is considered a budget machine, its just that it is not long enough to meet everyone's needs.

Most of the reviews that we have come across for the 431 model are very positive.  As with the 430 model, there are a couple of complaints about the elliptical squeaking over time.  Some reviewers were able to resolve this issue by making adjustments to specific bolts on the elliptical trainer (an indication that they were put together too tight).  However, contacting the manufacture is also a recommended resolution to the problem.  The squeaking does not appear to be a prominent issue and the majority of the reviews give this machine high praises verse negative comments.

In conclusion, the 431 offers the same stability and smoothness as the 430 model but offers more features for those looking for more than a basic elliptical.  It is an excellent machine that is well worth considering in the budget bracket.
