In 2005 Quinton Cardiology Systems merged with Cardiac Science, Inc to form the company Cardiac Science Corp which is now responsible for manufacturing Quinton treadmills.  In recent past Quinton treadmills have predominantly been known as a medical equipment manufacture and have been building treadmills since the early 1950’s.  Founded by Wayne Quinton, the inventor of the lightweight cardiac treadmill, the company thrived as one of the leading cardiac equipment producers.  One of the staple machines used for cardiac stress test, the Quinton treadmills can be found in many hospitals and health centers today.  They are well known for their superior quality, exceptionally quiet motor and ability to handle heavy-duty use.  However, the superior quality of the Quinton treadmills does come at a high price and this is not the optimal treadmill for everyone.
