Review
The reviews for ProForm's Total-Body Cross Training Elliptical are very mixed. Most of the reviews that we have come across people really love it or hate this elliptical. If you compare this elliptical trainer with the cheaper ProForm Cario CrossTrainer 650, it really does not look like the better buy. Although it does offer additional features like 10 levels of resistance, Pulse Sensors in the handle and the adjustable upright settings, the are a few quality complaints surrounding the machine.
Although not a quality issue, one of the complaints for this elliptical is that there is a lot to put together. There are a lot more parts to put together with the Total-Body elliptical compared to the CrossTrainer 650 so plan on spending around 3 hours to put this guy together. As far as quality goes there are several complaints that features like the Heart Rate Monitor have broken over a short period of time of ownership.
For the price range the Total-Body elliptical trainer is a pretty good deal. It is about a $100 more than the ProForm 650 with some additional features and benefits. However, at this level of investment we feel that the ProForm 650 is the better deal for those on a budget. However, if you can afford to spend over $500 for an elliptical we recommend that you take a look at the more expensive machines.
