Conclusion
The reviews for the ProForm 850 Crosswalk are very positive.  One of the common strengths that we have seen in a variety of reviews is that the Crosswalk 850 is very stable for an elliptical under the $1000 price umbrella.  Another strength is that this elliptical has a center drive verse the front drive on some of the budget elliptical trainers.  This allows for a smoother and quieter workout compared to some of the other models in the same price class.

We came across a few reviews where some customers complained that the 850 Crosswalk was not a sturdy as the elliptical trainers at their gym.  Keep in mind that the ProForm 850 Crosswalk still is a budget elliptical trainer.  It is not going to be as sturdy or durable as the commercial models that are commonly found in many health clubs.  Also the budget ellipticals are really designed more for moderate use.  They are made with less expensive parts and anyone that needs an elliptical trainer for heavy use will need to spend upwards of $1500 for a mid to high-end model.

However for those in the market for a budget elliptical the 850 Crosswalk does have some really nice features for such an inexpensive machine.  The adjustable stride length, 20 iFit workouts, and iPod compatibility make the 850 a real gem.
