About the Motor

The ProForm Crosswalk 570 comes with a 2.8 HP drive motor.  The motor is backed with a 25-year warranty. 

Cushioning and Treadmill Belt

The ProForm Crosswalk 570 cushioning reduces the impact on the joints up to 22% compared to if you were to run on the road.  The treadmill belt is also good size allowing plenty of room for even the taller users.

Warranty Information

The ProForm Crosswalk 570 comes with a 25-year warranty on the motor and a 90-day warranty for all parts and labor. 

Conclusion

The ProForm Crosswalk 570 is a good entry level treadmill however it does fall short when compared to some of the other treadmills in the under $1000 price range.  The Crosswalk is reasonably priced at $599 and is a huge improvement over the Weslo treadmills line.  Our recommendations for most of the Weslo treadmill reviews was to take a look at the ProForm line instead. 

The real strength behind the 570 Crosswalk is the ability to use your upper body as you walk on the treadmill. ProForm claims that you can burn up to 50% more calories by combining the arm movements with traditional cardio workouts.  Anyone that has had the opportunity to use a Crosswalk treadmill can easily testify that the crosswalk arms do enhance the workout.  They will quickly bring you to a sweat and you can quickly feel the difference that the crosswalk arms make.

However the Crosswalk 570 treadmill is best suited for moderate use.  This treadmill is not designed for runners and anyone that is a serious runner really should not consider any treadmill that is under the $1,500 price range.  The Crosswalk 570 will meet your needs if you plan to use the treadmill for moderate walking. 

We don't consider the Crosswalk 570 the best treadmill in its class and in the same price bracket (under $1000) the Smooth 5.45 is a much more impressive machine.  The Smooth 5.45 treadmill is not only better built but also comes with a much better warranty than what the 570 model is offering.  However the Smooth treadmill does cost an additional $400 which may put it out of reach for a lot of people.

If you are in the market for a budget treadmill that lands in the $500 price range then the Crosswalk treadmill will be fine.  It is not going to last as long or has as many features as the more expensive models but it still is a good machine for those that plan to use it for moderate use.  The Crosswalk 570 is the least expensive treadmill that ProForm offers for their newest models.  It is a step in the right direction for an affordable workout machine.
