Additional features Product review: About the Motor The ProForm 780 CrossWalk treadmill comes with a 3.0 CHP
commercial-grade
motor. The 3.0 HP motor is a much better motor than what is offered
with the less expensive ProForm Crosswalk
570 treadmill. The motor is also backed by a 25-year warranty. Cushioning and Treadmill Belt The ProForm 780 CrossWalk treadmill's cushioning reduces the impact
on the joints up to 22% compared to if you were to run on the road. The
treadmill belt is also a good size allowing plenty of room for even the
taller users. About the CrossWalk Arms The built-in CrossWalk arms
are designed to help you burn up to 50% more calories during your
workouts. The addition of adding arm movements to the workout gives
you a total-body workout conditioning and toning both the upper and lower
body. The ProForm 780 CrossWalk also includes three interactive
CrossWalk workouts programs which prompts you to use the CrossWalk arms
during your workout. Warranty Information The ProForm 780 CrossWalk
treadmill comes with a 25-year
warranty on the motor and a 90-days warranty for all parts and
labor. The warranty for the motor is good however the parts and
labor warranty are very weak for a treadmill in this price range. Our
recommendation is that you consider an extended warranty if you purchase
this machine. Conclusion Anyone that has tried a ProForm CrossWalk treadmill can easily validate that the CrossWalk arms really do enhance the workout. Not only do you feel exercise working in your arms, you also feel the shoulders and back benefiting from the upper-body movement. If you are in the market for a CrossWalk treadmill you will see that ProForm currently have two models available, the ProForm Crosswalk 570 and the ProForm 780 CrossWalk. The CrossWalk 570 is almost half the price of the 780 CrossWalk treadmill but the 780 model has a lot more to offer. For one the motor on the 780 is much better and is suited more for those that plan to use the treadmill more for walking or light running. Neither model is recommended for heavy runners (those treadmills start at the $1500 and on up price range). The 780 also comes with the three interactive programs to enhance your workout. The walking surface and belt are about the same in both models. The CrossWalk arms really do enhance the workout but if the arms are something that you do not think you will use or can live without then there are other treadmills that would be a better buy in this price range. The Smooth 5.45 and the Smooth 6.45 are both excellent treadmills that come with a much better warranty. However they do not come with the patented CrossWalk arms and if you are looking for a treadmill with that technology the 780 CrossWalk is a good buy.
