About the stride length
The EFX 5.23 elliptical trainer comes with a variable stride length that ranges from 18.5 to 20 inches.  The stride length will accommodate most users. 

About the handrails
The ergonomic handrails, although not adjustable, are designed to accommodate by shorter and taller users in their unique design.  Not only do the handrails support users of various height but they also allow for different grip adjustments and positioning during the workout.

About the 8 Preset Programs
The Precor EFX 5.23  comes with 8 built-in preset workout programs which includes Basic Heart Rate Control, Cross Training, Fat Burner, Gluteals, Hill Climb, Interval, Manual and Weight Loss.

Warranty Information
The 5.23 includes a 10-year warranty on parts; 1 year on labor and a lifetime on the frame.

Conclusion
The EFX 5.23 elliptical trainer offers a lot of the same features as the more expensive EFX 5.25 model.  The main difference between the two models is that the 5.25 elliptical does include the ergonomic moving handrails instead of the stationary ones offered for this model.  The moving handrails are better in that they include both an upper and lower body workout while you exercise.  However, the EFX 5.25 is several hundred dollars more expensive and those that are mainly looking for a "traditional' elliptical trainer will find that the EFX 5.23 has most of what they will need.

Overall the 5.23 elliptical trainer is a very smooth and quiet machine.  It is a Precor after all and because of such one can only expect great quality in a smooth workout and a very dependable machine.  Precor has been making elliptical trainers for some time now and the 5.23 elliptical machine upholds their already impressive reputation.  Those that can afford the 5.23 will be more than happy with the quality, however if you can spend a little more give the EFX 5.25 a closer look to see if the moving handrails are something that you would like to add.
