Product description: The Precor EFX 5.17i elliptical crosstrainer is the entry level model with the CrossRamp technology. The CrossRamp along with Precor's reputation for quality make up for the limited features included with this machine.

If the CrossRamp technology is the standout feature, the standout trait for many of the Precor elliptical trainers has to be their quality. Precor has a reputation for building a very smooth, quiet and durable machine . Those that have had the opportunity to workout on a Precor elliptical trainer should not be surprised as to why so many commercial gyms use their products. The Precor elliptical machines are durable, the movement is smooth and the workout is very quiet. On the negative side the EFX 5.17i does not include a lot of features. There really are only 3 features included with the option to purchase the heart rate kit. Even with the heart rate kit added this really only brings the grand total to an unimpressive four features for this exercise machine. For the cost of this machine additional features like crosswalk arms would have been nice, however those that are fine with minimal features will still get a lot out of this elliptical trainer. Keep in mind that the 5.17i is the entry model and Precor does include additional features in some of their more expensive models. Overall the 5.17i is still a very solid machine that is worth considering. For more
