Horizon EX-67 Elliptical Review

About the Stride Length
The Horizon EX-67 elliptical trainer comes with an 18" stride length and includes the Horizon CustomStride option.  The CustomStride™ adjustment allows you to lower the elliptical trainer's handlebars to give a custom feel to the stride. Keep in mind that the 18" stride length will accommodate those that are average height and under but may be too short for taller users.  Anyone over 6 feet in height will need to look at a longer stride length that starts around 20" and up.

About the Workout Programs
The Horizon EX-67 elliptical trainer comes with 13 built-in workout programs.  The programs include 12 goal related programs (Time, Distance, Calories, etc) and 1 custom program. 

About the MP3 Port
For those that prefer to workout without a headset Horizon EX-67 comes with a built-in MP3 player music port.  The console also includes a headphone output for those that wish to play their MP3 player through the elliptical trainer.

Warranty Information
Horizon Fitness offers a lifetime warranty on the frame and the brake with a one year warranty for parts and labor.

Conclusion
The Horizon EX-67 is a good budget elliptical trainer that does come with some nice features for a reasonably priced machine.  The 13 built-in workout programs, customSTRIDE™ workout arms and the MP3 port are great features for any elliptical machine.  There are also quite a few positive reviews for this elliptical trainer and one of the more common compliments for this machine is the smooth ride and quality of this budget machine.  the EX-67 is not loaded with a lot of features like a lot of other models in its price class but it does come as a smooth and stable machine. 

The Horizon EX-67 is not a perfect elliptical trainer, it still falls under the categorization as a budget machine and as such it is not going to rival the quality and durability of a gym quality machine.  Budget exercise equipment, whether it be an elliptical trainer or a treadmill, is really only designed for light to moderate use. Anyone that needs an exerciser for heavy use will need to spend a lot more money on their investment.  Also, the stride length is adequate for average height and under users but will not accommodate anyone that is 6 feet or taller.  

 If you are looking for a good budget elliptical trainer and don't need all the bells and whistles then the Horizon EX-67 is a good buy.  However there are other elliptical trainers in the budget class that offer more features for around the same price.  For a little more investment the NordicTrack AudioStrider 990 or the Sole E25 Elliptical  would be the more recommended buy.
