Product review:
About the Resistance
The Horizon
EX-57 elliptical trainer uses Magnetic Resistance for up
to 8 levels of resistance that can be changed by the touch of a
button. The different levels of resistance help to build muscle
strength and stamina over the workout.
About the Stride Length
The Horizon EX-57 elliptical trainer comes with an 18" stride length. The 18" stride length will accommodate those that are average height and under but may be too short for taller users. Anyone over 6 feet in height will need to look at a longer stride length that starts around 20" and up.
About the Workout
Programs
The Horizon EX-57 elliptical trainer comes
with 9 built-in workout programs. The programs include Time,
Distance, Calories, Manual, etc.
Warranty Information
Horizon Fitness
offers a lifetime warranty on the frame and a 20-year
warranty on the brake with a one year warranty for parts and
labor.
Conclusion
The Horizon EX-57 is a budget elliptical trainer price with
a very reasonable price. It comes with limited features but one
should not expect too much for around a $550 workout machine. The
elliptical trainer comes with a 18 inch stride length which is pretty good
for a budget machine. The 18 inch stride length is good for those
that are average height and under but will not accommodate those that are
around 6 feet or taller.
The reviews that we have seen for the EX-57 model compliment the elliptical trainer on the quality for the price. However, it is a budget machine and as such is not going to rival the quality of the more expensive models. Also, as already noted the features are limited and in the price range there are other options that offer more features for the price. The ProForm iSeries 785 F and the ProForm 850 GameFit fall around the same price range and come with additional features over the EX-57 model.
