About the Stride Length
The NordicTrack FreeMotion s5.8 elliptical trainer comes with a maximum 35" stride length. This is one of the longest stride lengths available and will accommodate both shorter and taller users. 

About the Workout Programs
The NordicTrack FreeMotion s5.8 elliptical trainer comes with the 8 Body-Zone and 8 Preset Stride workouts.  The 8 Body-Zone workouts automatically adjust the resistance levels and the stride lengths to focus on the quadriceps, glutes and core muscles.  The 8 Preset Stride workouts automatically adjust the resistance of the stride to focus on aerobic, endurance, weight loss and performance goals.

About the iFIT Workout Card
Each iFit workout card is designed by a personal trainer to automatically adjust your workout settings giving you the most out of your workout.  The iFit card plugs directly into the console and automatically adjust the elliptical settings to enhance the workout. 

About the 7” Flat Screen TV with Speakers
The FreeMotion s5.8 comes with a 7 inch built-in flat screen TV.   The TV also acts as an on-screen display so that you can track your workout progress.

Warranty Information
NordicTrack offers a lifetime warranty on the frame a one year warranty for parts and in-home service on the FreeMotion s5.8 elliptical trainer.

Conclusion
The NordicTrack Freemotion s5.8 elliptical trainer is an upgraded version of the FreeMotion s5.6 elliptical trainer.  Both elliptical trainers come with the longest stride length available.  At an impressive 35 inches there is not another elliptical machine out there that will rival this stride length.  The main difference between the two models is the built-in TV that comes with the s5.8.  The 7 inch flat screen TV does increase the price by another $300 for the elliptical trainer but the TV also acts as an onscreen display for you to track your progress.

The s5.6 and s5.8 elliptical trainers are really a hybrid machine being a cross between an elliptical trainer and a stair stepper.  The 35 inch stride length is a plus increasing the intensity of the workout and resulting in an additional focus on the quadriceps, hamstrings and glutes.  However the s5.8 is not a perfect and as with the s5.6 model the s5.8 also is a very pricey machine that comes with an at best average warranty.  If you are looking for a TV with your elliptical the s5.8 is a good choice but anyone purchasing this model should also invest in an additional warranty.

Overall the NordicTrack FreeMotion s5.8 is a good and sturdy machine but price wise there are other models out there that would be a better choice for anyone that is just looking for a sturdy elliptical trainer.  However, if you are someone that is looking for the extra stride length then the s5.8 is worth considering.
