Fast Abs is an abdominal belt that uses a technology called Electronic Muscle Stimulation (EMS).  EMS uses a microprocessor to send out electrical impulses that cause the muscles to contract.  The strategy behind using EMS for different types of exercises is that it is believed to help you tone and build muscle.

The first question you are probably asking your self is does this product help you get flat abs fast?  Fast Abs claims that in just 10 minutes a day of use you can build rock hard abs without even breaking a sweat.   They also claim that you can tone the arms, shoulders, hips, thighs and buns in just minutes a day.  Basically what they are implying is that you don't have to do any of the work, you just wrap this sucker around a body part and it does all the work for you.  Just think about it for a second, you can kick back and without any effort get the body of your dreams.  Sounds pretty ridiculous doesn't it? 

Acquiring great looking abs is a lot more complicated then contracting a few muscles in a 10 minute workout each day.  The key to getting great looking abs is to burn away the body fat.  Burning excess body fat takes a disciplined diet and workout program in addition to your abdominal training.  Now, is EMS a hoax or a scam.  No, I don't think so.  I've personally used an EMS type of system to help with injuries.  The problem is I don't think it by any means replaces a weight training system for muscle development and toning.  Although I definitely feel the muscles contracting, they do not have the same feel as when I work out with weights.  I did not get the so called "pump" that so many of us look forwards to in the gym.  I just felt it was a good device to help me get past a few nagging injuries, I could never imagine myself replacing my workouts with this type of device.

Another issue with Fast Abs is that we have had a hard time finding a positive review for this thing (other than the reviews from people trying sell it).  Just about every review that we have come across blatantly states that it just does not work.  Many people have even stated that the machine hurts.  The bottom line is that if something sounds too good to be true it probably is.  Getting great looking abs takes a lot of hard work and discipline.  You can acquire the body of your dreams but it is going to take some time, sweat and discipline to accomplish your goal.
