What the Body Dome offers over traditional exercise equipment is that it helps you build your stabilizer muscle. It is similar to the exercise ball except that its unique design lets you to add exercises into your workout that you normally would not be able to achieve with the traditional exercise ball. The flat base allows you to stand on the dome, incorporating the stabilizer muscles in the lower body and core while you use the resistance bands to work out the upper body.
Functionally, like an exercise ball, the dome is easily inflated by using an air pump. For those limited on storage space you can easily deflate the dome and re-inflate when it is time to use it again. Safety with this product is also taken into consideration as the exerciser includes a textured surface to help prevent slipping during the workout.
Customer
Reviews
There are a few customer reviews on this product but not near the quantity that you see with a lot of other As Seen on TV exercise equipment. Amazon.com contains a small handful of customer reviews for the Body Dome and overall the exerciser has been is well received with their almost 4 out of 5 star rating. The plus with this exercise equipment is that it works as expected. The exerciser pulls the stabilizer muscles into the workout.
As already noted, the advantage the Body Dome has over a traditional exercise ball is that it does allow for you to perform more exercises. However, all that being said, the Body Dome can be used as your sole exercising equipment but in all reality the product is best served if incorporated into an existing workout program. The same hold true for the traditional design of an exercise ball as well. Sure you can do a variety of exercises with both of these products however the real benefits can be seen when it is merged into a good cardio other weight resistance program.
Overall the Body Dome is a good piece of equipment that targets muscles that usually are not worked out with the more traditional exercises. The Body Dome is a little pricey at a little over $100 and in all reality the price is the only real complaint for this product. The product is recommended for those that want to improve balance and strengthen their core and stabilizer muscles. However for those looking to achieve great results we do recommend incorporating this exerciser into a traditional workout program.
