Identifying Gym Quality
Home Fitness Equipment
Barbells, Dumbbell stands and more
As
you begin to build your home gym your need for exercise equipment
accessories may grow. There are a variety of weight lifting
cable attachments, bars and other accessories that are inexpensive and a great way to
expand your workout options. Whether you are looking for a
different handle for you lat pull downs, sit up bars, push up bars or a
large variety of other standard and Olympic weight bars, you can very
inexpensively add a whole dimension to your existing workout with a
purchase of only a few products.
While adding to your home gym you will need to investigate the quality
of the products that you purchase. Finding gym quality home fitness
equipment may not be as easy as you think. There are a lot of "cheap"
weightlifting bars out there that are hollow and they will most likely
need to be replaced over time. You may also want to keep in
mind that some bars will allow you to perform multiple exercises
eliminating the need for additional equipment. For example
the EZ curl bars are great for bicep barbell curls, triceps skull
crushers and working out the forearms with wrist curls.
While looking into
purchasing different workout bars, you
may want to take in some of the following considerations:
- What additional
exercises do you want to add to your existing workout routine.
- What is the quality and
durability of the equipment that you considering to purchase?
- How much weight will the
bar support? (is the bar solid metal or hollow)

benefit you.
Weight Bar features and reviews
 |
Standard and
Olympic weight bars – Whether you are adding a new bar for
squats, bench press or curling, make sure that your weights are
compatible with the bar. One of the key benefits to using Standard
weights and bars is that you can feel secure that future equipment
purchases will be compatible to what you already have.
Also, depending
on your strength progression, you will want to take close
consideration on the weight capacity for the bar (it is better to
spend a little extra upfront on a weight bar that will allow your
strength to grow - otherwise you may be purchasing a better weight
bar down the road). Especially for larger movements such as squats
and bench press.

organizing your equipment but also help increase the life of your
equipment since the barbells and dumbbells are safely stored away.
